Growing up, the soundtrack to my life was the hum of saws and the rhythmic tap of a hammer. My father, Dave, was a master carpenter. To me, his workshop was magical—a place where rough, nondescript lumber was transformed into beautiful, functional art. I spent countless hours just watching his hands work, absorbing the smell of sawdust and learning the patience required to craft something that lasts.

When my father passed away, the silence in his workshop was deafening. For a long time, I couldn't bring myself to go inside. But eventually, I realized that his passion didn't have to end with him.

I picked up his old tools. At first, it was a way to feel closer to him, a quiet communion amidst the wood shavings. But soon, his legacy became my own passion. I began to understand the language of the grain and the satisfaction of creating something with my own two hands.

Today, Dave's Daughter Woodworking is where that heritage lives on. I specialize in creating pieces that tell a story. From the intricate, multilayered 3D topographic maps depicting your family’s favorite lake, to custom-carved charcuterie boards engraved with messages intended to last for generations.

Every piece that leaves my shop is crafted with the same attention to detail my father taught me. Whether you are welcoming a new baby, celebrating a retirement, or just looking for that perfect piece of home decor, I am honored to create a family heirloom that will be cherished in your home, just as my father’s work is cherished in mine.
